Part 1

"No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper" Isaiah 54: 17 (KJV)
In my thirty years of pastoral ministry, I have had the honor to work with some of God’s chosen people. I am still amazed to see the dedication and commitment that keeps God’s Church moving forward on the mission He has given it.
Over the next few posts, I would like to look at three categories of those who serve the Church. Warriors - Workers - Wanderers. This is by no means an exhaustive list, just merely my observation through the years.
Some of these characteristics may cross over in your life. Feel free to create your own personal profile.
THE WARRIOR
1. Warriors Are Driven - They live with some degree of urgency. They tend to be visionaries, always looking to the horizon. They never quit.
2. Warriors Are Deliverers - They can’t tolerate injustice and oppression. They defend the underdog. They fight for the greater good.
3. Warriors Are Risk Takers - Their focus is on faith instead of failure. They don’t live in fear. No weapon shall prosper.
4. Warriors Are Strategic - They know Spiritual Warfare takes a strategy. They are not ignorant of Satan’s devices. They are intentional.
5. Warriors Are Courageous - They are always ready for the fight. Enemy attacks motivate them. They will always embrace the battle for a righteous cause.
6. Warriors Are Intercessors - They live a life of prayer. Warfare is a way of life. They help fight others’ battles. The Holy Spirit uses them greatly. God often wakes theses warriors in the night to pray.
7. Warriors Are Worshippers - Worship is warfare to them. They tend to have liberty to praise and worship. Fasting is a weapon of warfare to them.
Examples of Great Warriors:
Joshua - Gideon - Elijah - David - Debra - Paul
